I'm Steve. Neighbor in Yorkville. This year's storms already hit Yorkville, Oswego, Naperville, and Plainfield. Insurance is a fight. Those 31 papers came out of an Oklahoma courtroom, not your driveway. They do not hand you a new roof. They do tell you why a first no is not the end of the story. Roofing Yorkville documents the roof and fights a real claim. Fill out the ten questions or call me.

What the attorneys say. What State Farm says.

August 2026. Judge Grant Shepherd, Comanche County, Oklahoma, unsealed 31 internal State Farm documents that had been under a protective order in the West case. The facts below are what plaintiffs' attorneys at Whitten Burrage told KFOR, and State Farm's reply. That is all.

Attorneys · Whitten Burrage

What they say the documents show

  • A wind and hail program that cut indemnity payments $1.4 billion in the first year
  • 39% of those claims closed without payment
  • About $15,000 saved per denied or underpaid roof
  • Adjusters pushed not to approve too many full roofs
  • A 2021 agent email from Tracy Haus said customers now have to fight to get what they are owed

State Farm · their reply

What the company told KFOR

  • State Farm disputes the attorneys' reading of the documents
  • They say they paid more than $1 billion to Oklahoma customers for wind and hail in two years
  • They say lawsuits are a small slice of claims
  • They say trial lawyers are turning allegations into broad conclusions

This is Oklahoma litigation. It is not a finding that every Yorkville roof is owed a new roof.

A Yorkville, Oswego, Naperville, or Plainfield house still needs photos, a storm date, and a real claim. We document that. We do not invent damage. We do not tell you that you already won.
